I would like to express my gratitude to you for your guidance and counsel this past summer concerning my career path. When I came to you in June I felt certain that I had reached a time in my life to leave my life-long career in education behind in pursuit of something new and apart from the classroom.
You lead me through a rigorous discernment process that I felt certain would evolve into the discovery that I should be embarking on a new career path of marketing or other similar careers. These I would have enjoyed. However, after working with the process for a few weeks I discovered that my interests and aptitudes are still in teaching. At that time I decided to look into some teaching positions and reconsider going back into the classroom once again. While taking a fresh new look at this I interviewed at a small elementary charter school. The school and its program seemed very impressive and 1 decided to accept an offer to teach at the school,
, for a year. I have now been teaching at
for three months and am very thankful
that I chose to look once again at education. I am happy in my position.
I feel that I have much to contribute to the school and have hopes for the
future here. At the same time I am teaching an evening college course for
University when time permits. Not only did your guidance serve to support my efforts in discernment, but also helped me see where my gifts really are. I have no regrets about enrolling in the Chandler Hill course. It is a great program and one that I would recommend to those making career decisions. I look forward to staying in touch.
